Dayton, OH -
I want to be Dharma when I grow up. That said, I'm glad I finally found your site. I had read about it in Parade, like everyone else, but of course I didn't write it down. I ended up going to DavidsWorld.com first (something about motorcycles). Luckily, HenrysWorld was the next thing that popped into my head. It would have been embarrassing to go through all the common male names before I hit the correct one. Random babbling aside, thank you for the public service of posting the vanity cards. Did I mention that I want to be Dharma when I grow up? I'm 28 now......
Andie <AFreibauer@aol.com>

i just wanted to say thank you. i sit here with a silly grin, and a lighter heart. thanks for bringing those vanity cards to me in this readily available form. MR. CHUCK LORRE, may i say i love your mind, your heart, and your soul? at least what ive glimpsed of it from your vanity cards. you must know (you must im telling you!) how much they have affected me. from cheering to crying, to laughing and smiling, to feeling lonely, and feeling not so alone. thank you for showing us your guts. they are lovely. p.s. i would like to work for you, especially in any way for the dharma & greg show which i love. if you are ever in need of an intelligent, creative, gentle, crafty, and loyal employee, please email me.(or perhaps i could bribe you with some chocolate?) thanks again! :)

Not since Paula Prentiss and Benjamin's show of the late 50s or so has a comedy captured our attention. Unfortnately their show did not last, it was too hip for us. D&G plus parents is just the greatest!!! ;~)) Had to go back and correct my spelling, these darn bifocals!!

Thank you so much for making this available to those of us who have struggled with trying to read the vanity cards. Dharma and Greg is the most refreshing sitcom to come along in ages. I can relate to all of the characters having lived in each of their worlds at some point in my life. Grew up with Kitty and Edward, was Dharma until I became Abby (motherhood will do it to you), and raised a son like Greg. It's wonderful. The highpoint of the week!!! Anytime any of the cast wants a hawaiian vacation of Maui, I've got the place!!

I ENJOYED EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR WEB-SITE, AND YOU SOUND LIKE A GREAT PERSON IN ALL RESPECTS - EXCEPT: HOW COULD YOU PUT AMY GRANT AND "DON & MIKE" ON THE SAME PAGE??? SHE IS SUCH A WONDERFUL PERSON, AND "THEY" ARE GROSS AND VULGAR, USE FOWL LANGUAGE, EXPLOIT PEOPLE, THEY ARE DISGUSTING, NOT TO MENTION THAT AT LEAST HALF OF THEM ARE DRUG ADDICTS, WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN PUNISHED FOR THEIR CRIMES. THE OTHER ONE, THE GREASEMAN, WAS FIRED, BUT THESE TWO KEEP RIGHT ON GOING. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON WHY PEOPLE ARE ATTRACTED TO THEM?
Shirley Harris <harriss77@hotmail.com>

Thank you so much for taking the time to transfer the deathless prose to a medium I can read. It didn't do any good to try to read the vanity cards from the taped program for me.

This has been quite fulfilling. I tried to tape the show and watch the end, but my pause seems to be very fuzzy. And now a great mystery is solved!!! Thanks!!

I am SO, SO glad I read Parade! Henry, I have to say this is THE personal website I have ever seen! I see that Mr. Lorre DID actually sign the book too! Loved every bit of your site. The radio tease, however, didn't work, even with Real G2. Loved the D&G cards, and especially the Brushes... When I was in college Nichelle Nichols actually taught my salesmanship (PIC?) for a day! This was in 1981, right after the first StarTrek movie. Still, it was a hoot! Anywhere to find the opening page gif (without Henry'sWorld, though) for a wallpaper, or is it your design? Thanks, again Parade!
Scott Kjeer <myranger@gte.net>
Tampa, FL USA -
I really love your site! The Dharma & Greg vanity cards are very interesting. I had no idea anything of any interest existed in those paragraphs. I guess we learn something new everyday. Congrats on your impending bundle of joy.I'm going to be looking for updates on the kids.(I have two also.Sam,6& Gabby,2) Your little boy is pretty cute!!

Absolutely delightful !.
Sami El-Beheri <beheri@ix.netcom.com>
Colorado Springs, CO USA -
I greatly enjoyed reading the 46 vanity cards on this website. I have attempted to read as much as possible of them in the 2 seconds they are on the air, but, of course, have been rather unsuccessful. You're thinking "why not tape and pause, you idiot..." well, have you noticed that pausing causes those ugly staticky lines to cross the screen?? Anyway...I just wanted to let you know that you've done a great job on this website... And the insights provided by Chuck Lorre are more than I had imagined they would be. Yes.

Great page. I enjoyed reading all of the vanity cards. Found a few errors, I think. If you are interested, I note numbers 17 and 21. Maybe you should sponsor a "write your own vanity card" contest and post a winner each week or something. That could be fun. :)
Ty Henry <Kiltheduck@aol.com>
Little Rock, Ar USA -
Fantastic site. Thanks, Parade! Dharma and Greg is THE most refreshing show on TV (I think mostly because Dharma doesn't "judge" and doesn't need to stoop to sarcasm -- her humor is somewhat in the old "Lucy" style as one of your other guestbook signers also mentioned). Didn't know about the Vanity Screen but will now check your web site frequently. I was also pleased to know that Chuckie is a good boy! Thanks again.
Janice Richardson <jbrjax@prodigy.net>
Neptune Beach, FL Duval -
I thought your site was a hoot! Thanks for typing up all those paragraphs for us -- I've always wondered what they said, but never bothered to read them myself! Your whole site is pretty neat --I've spent probably a couple of hours just browsing through it all. Glad you're a D&G freak, too! Thanks again!
Karen
Carrollton, TX US -
Ha - thought I was the only one who'd look up your website after reading Parade. Just love D & G. Really only found it this year, so I hope sometime I can catch reruns. She's fantastic - a little like me. My grandkids say I remind them of Lucy (who I think reminds me of Dharma.) Hm-m-m I love Susan Sullivan too - the whole show is one of my favorites. Love the way they all interact. I'll have to come back to the rest of your site to finish but from what I've read, it promises to be a real treat. Can't wait.
Helen <gabwhelen@aol.com>
Westminster, MA USA -
Vanity card # seven: You nailed the meaning of life. If one sees themselves as love...one would love all...every...thing. And if one saw all of creation as different aspects of a living God...one...we would love all of creation and take better care of it. And if we saw ourselves as the body of God, and understood that the reason for life is to experience it...thus God experiencing himself...herself, itself...we would better understnad the need to truely know each other...and love one another. It is only in this way that theGodself in everyone will be realized. On that day of comprehension...we wil be transformed because we will re-member who we are. Bright BLessings to Us and to a better uderstanding of Love...so mote it be

Wow! What a great website you have. One of the best personal ones that I've seen. It is very well laid out, good graphics and content. By looking at your guestbook, I can see that I'm not only one that reads Parade Magazine. By the way, I think you and Kristin should get married. You two seem like you are meant for each other, forever! I also think that the name Elizabeth would be a great middle name for Jesse. I have just created a family website for my family. Please let me know what you think. Don't be too hard on it now, it's only my first try. It is at www.koyote.com/users/bbcnz Thanks for the vanity cards! Check your sites out later.

Hey this is a cool website! I love Dharma and Greg and was so happy to find a site on THEM* This is awesome!
k

Susan Sullivan is SUPERB as Kitty. In the last several episodes, we've found the parents more fun to watch than Dharma and Greg. Don't enjoy Pete and Jane. The younger generation is getting too bizarre and less endearing. Hope you get GREAT again!

A little bit of my vanity, a little of a review...... Yesterday, the fourth of July, my sister and I went to the movies to see the Buena Vista Social Club, a documentary about love, longing and affirmation. Man's ability to look beyond the peeling facades of Havana and watch Cuba while your feet dance and heart rejoices at a crumbling world that would not exist if there wasn't music. But music is not the whole story. It is the amazing grace of the old, their voices and faces and remembrances of pasts and buoyant survival. It is the story of people staying alive, the cry of human song filled with old faces and voices weathered by time, poverty and weary politics. Of freedom. I left the movie remembering the old Cuba. I visited Cuba as a child of five, forty five years ago, when She knew freedom. The bright colors everywhere, swaying palm trees, the waves as they crashed the island. And the music. My heart still soars at it's passion. People who know me know that music is one of my true loves; all kinds. So friends, on this day after the fourth of July, I wanted to share how much I appreciate my freedoms. My music, of survival through music, and the ability to voice( or yelp) my opinions as a chiwawa. De Teresita Cruz

I believe for every drop of rain that falls a flower grows. I believe that you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need. I believe in Jesus, Budda, Allah, and all those other gods. I believe I'll have myself a beer. I believe in the doors of perception. I blieve the road is long, with many a winding turn. I believe in life after love and before love and in between love and without any love at all. I believe 37 is not old. I believe that I was born into this world a whole person and though companionship is nice I don't need anyone to complete me. I believe I AM complete. I believe that any healthy person who parks in a handicap space should have the word "handicap" defined for them more clearly. I believe if Henry Miller were alive today I'd want to . . . I believe Tom Waits, John Prine and Lyle Lovett are some of the best songwriters ever. I believe that I will never stop lusting after Rober Plant no matter how old he gets, and he just seems to grow older every year.. I believe that thou art God thou I do not fully grokk it. I believe I would like to share water with you and grow closer. I believe I should leave here now, the voices in my head are telling me it's time to sharpen the knieves. Oh, one last thing, I bieve Dharma and Greg is one of the coolest shows ever.

the little box at the end of each darma and greg drove me crazy, and i was too lazy to tape and then pause it. it is very fun to read these, and they are a perfect touch to a great show. of course, my main question is about chuck lorre. is he related in any way to peter lorre? peter lorre junior used to host a friday night spooky movie show late at night in austin texas many many years ago. peter lorre senior was always one of my favorites. is chuck related? thanks for this site, it has brought me a lot of smiles today!

Finally!!!!!!!! It's nice to have someone else put a tape in the VCR, pause it at just the right moment, then do whatever it is that allows me to read EVERYTHING contained in that little black box, not just the first word. Since I'm the kind of person who lets the VCR clock flash 12:00 for a month after the electric's been disconnected....more from laziness than not knowing how to fix it...I certainly appreciate your efforts.
