At
the very end of most television shows, a couple of seconds are
allotted for the production company to flash its name and logo
onscreen--almost like a signature. Chuck Lorre Productions provides
a rare example of a vanity card that changes from week to week.
And yes, the text is written by Chuck himself.
Why
does Chuck Lorre, Co-Creator and Producer of ABC's Dharma
& Greg (Tuesdays 9/8c), write these cards? ''I figured
I'd use my two seconds of screen time each week to revel in my
opinions and philosophy.'' Sometimes, the paragraph even contains
a short story with recurring characters. Lorre says he hopes
viewers will tape the show and then hit the pause button on their
VCR to read the paragraph.
However,
if you miss the show, or just can't read the card, no need to
worry! We'll let you know what they say, every Tuesday night!
