![]() Lorre falls for Keith, Brewster in NBC comedy Source: The Hollywood Reporter; February 4, 2001 After months of matchmaking, Chuck Lorre has finally found the perfect leading man and woman for his yet-untitled romantic comedy series for NBC. David Keith and Paget Brewster ("The Trouble With Normal") will play an LAPD cop and a movie star who fall in love after meeting at the Betty Ford rehab center in the Chuck Lorre Prods./Warner Bros. Television series, which has received a 13-episode commitment from the network. "When auditioning actors to play a romantic comedy, you're looking for something special, something magical to happen, and watching Paget and David work, something did happen that wasn't on the page, something that you can only hope and pray for," Lorre said. "They're extraordinary actors, and they're unbelievable together." Production on the pilot created and executive produced by "Dharma & Greg" co-creator Lorre is scheduled to begin in early April. |
